OTSEGO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

We would like to welcome you to Otsego Christian Academy. OCA is a great choice for Christian education in Allegan County. First, OCA is decidedly Christian. Each of our teachers loves the Lord and has many years of walking with the Lord in a personal relationship. OCA has held on to the central doctrines and tenets of the faith. Our school was founded on the Bible and continues to follow the scriptures for faith and practice. Second, OCA is also an excellent choice for education.

OCA consistently scores above the national norms of standardized testing. OCA is known for its teachers who provide individual attention and the "loving care." With the decline of population in Michigan many of the school districts have consolidated schools and increased class sizes. OCA has tried to use the smaller class sizes to make our learning centers more personal. OCA has a twenty-eight year history of providing quality Christian education in the western Michigan area. The philosophy is simply to serve Christ by helping families and churches carry out their Christian responsibilities.

OCA helps the Christian families of Allegan County as they try to carry out the commission found in Ephesians 6:4, "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Clearly it is the parents' responsibility to educate their children. Jesus asked, "What father, if his son asked him for a fish, would give him a serpent? Or if he asked for bread would give him a stone?" OCA does not follow the serpent's instructions to follow the world; neither does it tie a millstone of deceit on your children. OCA teaches from the counsel of God's Word and allows children to learn truth from the Truth of God.

OCA also helps churches carry out their commission found in Ephesians 4:11&12. Here, God gave gifts to the churches of apostles; prophets; evangelists; pastors; and teachers to prepare God's people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up. OCA teaches and trains young people from more than fifteen area churches to take on responsibilities that one day will help them lead in ministry within their churches.

We hope that OCA can help you carry out the Great Commission to, "Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the Age."
