MERLYN E. JONES, our Senior Pastor, has been pastoring since 1970. He was the founding pastor of the Faith Baptist church of Defiance, Ohio from 1970 - 1978 and the Faith Baptist Church of Mount Vernon, Ohio, from 1978 - 2008. He began his ministry at FBC of Otsego in August of 2008. He received a B.A. in Communications from Cedarville University and an M. Div. from Grace Theological Seminary.
He and his wife, Nancy, have had a music ministry since they first met in 1963. Pastor Jones enjoys hunting, fishing, ping pong and other sports.
Pastor and Nancy have three children: Lori; Mark (Andrea), have four children and are missionaries in Ireland; and Philip (Stacey), have twin boys.
